See Memphis

See Memphis Tours is a full-service receptive agency offering high-quality transportation and guide service. Our tours highlight the divergent cultures that make Memphis unique - those same cultures that, when blended, have produced some of the most significant music of the twentieth century.

See Memphis tour guides excel in their knowledge of historical events as well as current news. Most are college graduates and are themselves well-traveled. Regular training sessions are supplemented with recent historical publications. Our reputation for dependability and excellent guides is complimented by our dedication to personal service. We personally meet with convention and tour planners to assure the events planned are the very best possible.

See below for descriptions of our most popular tours and call us for a tour designed especially for your group.

Try Your Luck - Enjoy the excitement of the nation's third-largest gaming center. This six-hour tour takes you to Tunica County, Mississippi, where sharecropper shacks still stand in the shade of glittering casinos - a rare opportunity to travel the "Blues Highway" while enjoying an afternoon at the tables.

Old Man River - Cruise the mighty Mississippi in an authentic replica of a paddlewheel riverboat plus trace the course of the river from Cairo to the Gulf of Mexico. This four-hour tour includes a ride on the Memphis Riverboat and admission to Mud Island River Park and the Mississippi River Museum.

From Pigs to Plants - Be an honored guest at the former homes of two of Memphis' best-known citizens. This four-hour tour includes admission to the Memphis Pink Palace Museum, built as the home of Clarence Saunders, and to Dixon Gallery and Gardens, a French-Impressionist museum housed in the previous home of Hugo and Margaret Dixon.

Haunted Memphis Tour - Don your ghost hunter garb for a visit to Memphis' most haunted sites - maybe you'll meet (or FEEL) the ghost!) This three-hour tour includes admission to the Woodruff-Fontaine House.

Cotton Pickin' Time - Next to music, cotton is King in Memphis. Visit the Tunica Museum and pick your own cotton, then continue to Memphis and climb up the riverbank where mules pulled the wagons of cotton to the warehouse. Walk Cotton Row, the "Wall Street of the South" to the Cotton Museum where you'll stand on the trading floor to see how the trading took place.

Special Arrangements - We can also do Walking Tours of Beale Street, Victorian Village and/or the Historic Downtown Area; tours of Memphis' Historic Churches; Incentive Tours and many other specialty tours. If you have an idea, just ask us - we can probably do it!

Step-on guides are available for $45 per hour with a three-hour minimum. ($135)
